MERCEY. Samantha Lynne Mercey, 19, of Enfield passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her home. Born September 25, 1997 in Hartford daughter of Raya J Mercey of Enfield and Brian Mercey of Windsor Locks. Samantha was an honor roll student in middle school in Enfield, she graduated with the class of 2015 from Suffield High School Agriscience Center. While in high school she was a pitcher for the Jr. Varsity Softball Team and she was a cheerleader. Samantha was a member of the FFA and the GSA. She will be most remembered for her infectious laugh, sneezes, hiccups and fleeky eyebrows. She brought a smile to everyone she encountered. She received most of her enjoyment from animals, Zelda (her cat), music and make-up. Samantha is survived by her parents, Brian Mercey and his wife, Sara, of Windsor Locks, and Raya J. Mercey of Enfield; her grandparents, Homer & Elizabeth Mercey, Lynne & Tracy Liberty, Stephen & Deb Pouech; two sisters, Kristen Thompson and Megan Mercey; a step brother, Coen Rabbett; a niece and nephew, Vanessa and Chase Thompson; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Her family will receive friends Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Suffield High School, C/O Suffield Regional FFA, 1060 Sheldon St, West Suffield, CT 06093.
