POSTELL. Janice L. Postell, 71, of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Willie D. Postell, Jr. passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born May 10, 1946 in Hartford, daughter of the late Louis Kidd Clayton and Julia (Jones) Clayton, she grew up in Hartford and raised her family there. After the passing of her husband she moved to Rocky Hill to be close to family and for the past three years has lived in Enfield with her daughter. Janice enjoyed music and playing video games with her grandchildren and most of all she was very devoted to her family. She is predeceased by her son, Willie D. Postell III and granddaughter Tarae A. Postell, 4 sisters and a brother. She is survived by six children, Brian Postell of Brooklyn, CT, Janice Postell of Hartford, Sonya Postell of Hartford, Stephanie Lemoine of Enfield, Nathaniel Postell (Charmaine) of Rocky Hill, Wayne Postell (Malissa) of Rocky Hill; two sisters, Marion Hall of Bloomfield, Diane Hodges of East Hartford; a brother, Louis Clayton of South Windsor; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 10-11 AM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St - I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
