Francis was born on October 4, 1938 and passed away in March 2017.

Francis was a resident of Chicopee, Massachusetts at the time of his passing.

He was raised in South Hadley, attended Blessed Sacrament School in Holyoke, had lived in South Hadley for many years and moved to Fairview in 1984 where he lived the remainder of his life.

He served his country during peacetime in the United States Navy and attained the rank of Airman.

His family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., which will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Committal with United States Navy Military Honors on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.

For those who prefer, his family asks that memorial donations be made in his memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
