Edmond was born on August 23, 1928 and passed away in March 2017.

Edmond was a resident of Chicopee, Massachusetts at the time of passing.

He was raised in Holyoke and attended Precious Blood High School.

He left high school to enter the United States Navy during World War II and served aboard the USS Perry DD844, which was nicknamed "The Eight Ball".

His funeral will be held on Thursday morning, February 16, 2017 beginning at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 7:45 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Committal Service with United States Navy Military Honors will follow the Mass at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.

His family has requested that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
