Edgar was born on April 17, 1923 and passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

Edgar was a resident of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts at the time of passing.

He graduated from Springfield Technical High School.

Ed was proud to have served in the US Navy 1942-1946 and was a chief petty officer at the time of his discharge. He and his shipmates participated in operations in the Pacific Ocean theater of World War II where their ship was awarded 4 battle stars. During his retirement years he attended many reunions with those shipmates with whom he had shared that coming of age experience.

Edgar was married to Wallis Lacine.

East Longmeadow, MA Calling hours will be held on Sunday February 19th from 2 ' 5 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Ed's funeral service will be held on Monday February 20th starting at 9 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Michael's Parish, 128 Maple St. East Longmeadow. A private burial will follow for the family in Greenlawn Cemetery in East Longmeadow.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the East Longmeadow Senior Center, 328 North Main St., East Longmeadow, MA 01028. www.forastiere.com.
