WESTFIELD: Diane M. (Stanek) Kennedy, 59, of Westfield died Monday February 13, 2017 at home. Diane was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Mitchell Stanek and Genevieve (Partyka) Stanek, of Springfield. She was a graduate of Classical High School, Westfield State College, and received her MBA from Western New England College. Diane was an Account Executive for Kraft Food Company, and was the only female Account Manager in the New England region. She was honored by Bozzuto's IGA as Person of the Year. She was a member of Knights of the Grip, Connecticut Food Association, the Polanie Club, and the Polish Junior League. Besides her mother Genevieve, Diane is survived by her husband James Kennedy; a son James Kennedy of Westfield; a daughter, Lauren Kennedy of Narraganset, RI; a brother, Daniel Stanek and his wife Deanne of CT; a sister, Donna Kaplan of Granby, MA; her father and mother-in-law, James and Kathleen Kennedy of Holyoke; and many nieces and nephews. Diane's family would like to recognize Dr. Dejan Juric, and his caring staff providing incredible treatment along with hope and their "never quit" philosophy. Also, Diane would like to express her deepest gratitude to her mother-in-law for the wonderful care she provided on a daily basis. A funeral home service will be held Friday at 2:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held prior to service from 12:00 to 2:00pm. The family requests to please omit flowers and make donations to: Holyoke High School Football Program, c/o HHS, 500 Beech St. Holyoke, MA 01040
